Apple has announced it has formed Apple Energy, LLC. It will sell off surplus from renewable energy resources from their solar rooftop at the California headquarters, along with other generating facilities across the country. Some think this may be the first step toward their electric car project. Apple Energy, LLC will be headquartered in Delaware.

Adidas has developed a shoe to raise awareness about ocean pollution and recycling. The top woven part of the sneaker will be made out of recycled plastic fish netting and other plastics collected from the Maldive region. The plastics are turned into yarns and special polymers.  A technique that has been used in the home furnishings industry. The soles will be made of conventional material. As a result of this project, Adidas has committed to phasing out plastic bags in all stores.
