A Queens Farm Summer.

It has been six months since my @greenhomenyc article on "Sustainable Farm Life".
My how seasons have changed!

Summer Highlights at Queens Farm:

PRODUCE: Daily Farm stand with sustainably grown, pesticide free, and so bright and fresh for your summer table.

• Pros - nutrient dense, chemical free, farm to table.

FLOWERS: Farm cut flowers. You can venture to the back of the farm and see them growing in their glory.

• Pros - No plastic packaging. No distance/transport traveled for sale.

NEW ANIMALS: The Farm has a few new lambs. So adorable. They reside in the back of the farm.

• Pros- Animals provide cuteness and happiness to all who encounter. Therefore, reducing our stress from the busy city.

HONEY: Raw honey which is cultivated at the farm will be available early August.

• Pros - Honey is fantastic for our immune system and provides antibacterial properties. Choose to use it with yogurt, tea, dressings or as a skin mask with a bit of plain yogurt to relieve summer redness and burns.
