Bioluminescence - Natural Light from Nature

Bioluminescence is simply natural light created from a living organism. It is created in the ocean by tiny organisms, algae, and plant plankton along with little creatures like dragon flies on land.

The takeaway for how it might help our climate? They produce blue light during the night from  photosynthesis created during the day. Just like plants they remove CO2. The ocean produces most of our oxygen. So the benefits to preserving and using these resources are of value.

Medicine has used bioluminescence for a while now but there are ever increasing ways to use it in the consumer market. Some examples are for lighting and product use. Just like having a plant they remove impurities from the air while providing light at night!
